So, mobile read forums have been my savior plenty of times, though I've been a lurker only

but thought it was time to introduce myself. Have loved the idea of an e-reader long before they were on the market (used to drool over some Japanese ultra thin reader on youtube - wonder what ever happened to it?) and bought one of the earliest Sony models (505, yes that old!) with buttons to navigate

and no touchscreen. It has served me faithfully for years despite having NO memory, buggy and restarting after reading a certain amount of lrf files and terrible battery time. Buuuut it died a few weeks ago and so I upgraded to a Kobo Aura HD, and now I find I have a whole new set of problems to tackle

So far I love the concept of the Aura HD far more than the execution but hopefully I can scream for help here from time to time

Hi MJLee and welcome to MobileRead.

Like you, my first eInk reader was a Sony 505 which I liked fine. I now have a Sony T1 picked up after my 505 died and I like it fine. Will probably get an Aura after the T1 dies.
