Book Details Author Link

Upgraded to 1.45 today and saw one to the changes was the series link in the book details panel - which I thought was rather spiffy.

So, the Author field in the book details panel is also a link, but it takes me to the wikipedia. I've found the place to change that, BUT...is there a way to make the author link pull-up that author from the dB instead of going out to the wiki??

I don't know what code I should put in there.

@Chris_Snow Alt/A will do a search on (first) author of current book.

Alt/P for current Publisher, Alt/T for current Tags

I think the new click on Series in book details does what Alt/Shift/S does

Thx BR for the keyboard shortcuts. I didn't know those. I need to find a list. Trying to find them in Calibre is frustrating. The Alt/A definitely does the trick.

Agreed to a point, but the Preferences->Keyboard dialogue can be searched, a search for 'author' will get you to the Alt/A in the Similar Books group. Although the 'get to' can be a bit tedious - Quality Check has at least 10 shortcuts relating to author.

Something like 75 useful Keyboard Shortcuts for Evernote would be nice.

that is Kovid's way of saying, here is the record of me committing changes to the source code to do X, so it will be incorporated in the next calibre release (usually Friday) ... or immediately, if you happen to be running calibre from the development source.

The manual will contain the DEFAULT keyboard assignments.

Kovid has enabled user reassignment.
Preferences:Keyboard (and on some PI configuration menus)

I don't believe there is a way to print all of these custom keyboard settings (also because some are PI specific, like 'Open With')

Just following up on this thread. I have just installed 1.46 and the Authors link in the Book Details panel still takes you to the wikipedia - instead of returning only that author in calibre

I thought this was supposed to be changed in the next release. Does anyone have this working??
