Caching Book Covers on SD Card?

Using Calibre, if you side load an epub onto the onboard memory , the book covers are cached onto the device. Which means the book cover images show up instantly on the Kobo.

If you side load an epub onto the SD Card , the book covers are not cached onto the device. Which means the book cover images are regenerated every time in Kobo - which makes the device slower.

Is there a way to cache book covers that are side loaded onto the SD Card?

The drivers in calibre has options to send the covers with the books. This works for both the main memory and the card. The Kobo Utilities plugin has a function to send the covers separately to the books.

For the Kobo kepub plugin, which option allows me to send the book covers automatically?

The ones with "cover" in the name Choosing any of them should send the cover. But, if you want to send them as black and white, you should choose it and one of the other two options as well. These options in the KoboTouchExtended driver are actually passed to the main KoboTouch driver. The options are described in the thread for that driver.
