Adding a column to main view
My main view shows Title, Author, Date, etc. but I also want it to show a column for Author_Sort. How do I add that?

That one is not available.
The Tag browser is usually displayed by Author sort values

The Quality Check Plugin has checks Red (mismatched) Title or Author sort values.

@Ma'am-I-Am - sure you can - see attachments

Don't forget to tick the column in Preferences->Add your own columns

As others have mentioned the built-in author_sort field cannot be marked for display.

This seems a strange omission - I am not quite sure why this is not possible. Maybe we should request from Kovid that the ability to show this column be added to the list of built-in columns that can be displayed.

Is there a way to see all the fields that can be used - like a database structure somewhere? I really hate that I'm going to have to learn Python just to display what I want or Save to Disk the way I want. Yes, I will check out Quick Preferences.

Frankly, if my book collection software would send to Kindle, I'd use that and just use Calibre to convert.

All usable predefined templates are shown on the 'Save to...' configuration screens. User fields always start with a # (the lookup name can be found by hovering over the column title)
