How do I backup CC?

Having spent a great deal of time setting up CC on my Onyx T68, I want to make sure I don't lose it all. I don't see a backup option within CC; can anyone advise me how to back it up, please?

I believe chaley is considering adding an option for that. In the meantime, there are Android apps that are designed to backup and restore apps.

Thing is, most of the stuff in CC will be your books, so you just sync.

Some settings info I guess, but how long does that take?

Currently the only way to backup CC is to use one of the android backup tools. Many of these (I think all?) require the device to be rooted. This is less than ideal.

As eschwartz said, we are looking at options to backup and restore CC's database. There are some complexities, but it is worth doing. Don't know if it will be in the development cycle I intend to start shortly.

Of course, the ultimate restore is to simply resend the books. The only local info that CC keeps is the "read" status, and if that is sync'ed to calibre then even that isn't local.

If you have a relatively recent version of Android (Ice Cream Sandwich or later), then there's an adb backup command.

You don't need root, but you obviously need adb access.
