Sort by count of entries for specific author

By right-clicking on the "Author(s)" column I can sort ascending or descending but what I'd like to do is get calibre to count the number of books by each author in the database and list them by ascending or descending order of that count.
Is this possible?

Not in that way. But, you can sort them in the tag browser. Select the "Authors" in the tag browser. Under the tag browser, click on "Alter Tag Browser", then "Sort by" and then the sort book count sort. After that, when you expand the authors in the tag browser, they will be in descending order by number of books.

The Alter keyword is 'sort by Populatity'
