English v English spellcheck problem
When I ran the spellcheck on a GB English book I received lots of "spelling mistakes" which were correct GB English spellings but wrong US english.
To save there being pages to scroll through is there a way I can force the use of the GB English dictionary only? |

Thank you DoctorOhh for a quick reply.
On the book I am looking at this does not work. The default dictionary is shown in Editor - Edit - Preferences - Editor Settings - Manage Spelling Dictionaries as UK (built in dictionary for English - GB). But when I run the spell check I get a list which has both English and English (US) in the language column against the "misspellings". Out of 284 words only about 15 are not English (US). Any suggestions? |

@cager there are several en-XX dictionaries around, other than those included with calibre. I found some at Apache which I prefer. Google for hunspell dictionaries.

You can also use the spellcheck list that comes from selecting tools, check spelling and go through it and add the words to the dictionary. It would take some time once, but then they would be there for all succeeding times.
