TxtToPDF Markdown problems

Hi all,

I've been using Calibre to handle automatically converting markdown enriched text files outputted by a PowerShell script I wrote into PDFs, and it's worked perfectly for months.

For some reason this all stopped working yesterday, and I can't work out why. Now the conversion process seems to process the first couple of occurrences of Markdown, but then stops doing so after a few lines, leaving the rest of the output file mangled.

It's a consistently repeatable problem, and comparing the working source files to non-working hasn't given me any clues, even the line-break/carriage-returns seem the same. I'd normally be doing this via the command line, but I've run the conversion through the GUI just to test and got the same results.

The attached zip file has the source, output, debug and conversion log files for both working and non-working copies, along with an example command line I was using to do the conversion. If there's any other information I can provide, please just let me know.

Any insight or advice whatsoever greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
- Kitt

You are remembering to specify the formatting style as markdown in the txt input section of the conversion dialog? Auto-detection is not completely reliable. Alternatively, make sure the file has a .md extension.

I tries running NotWorking-Source.txt through standalone markdown and the result was the same. You'll have to ask in the markdown forums what the problem is, as I am not a markdown expert: https://github.com/waylan/Python-Markdown
