Readmill to shut down July 1st

Another ebook store is forced to close its doors due to being financially unsustainable. Sad to see. You can read all about it here: http://www.tuaw.com/2014/06/24/readmill-is-closing-its-doors-on-july-1-2014-needs-picture/?ncid=rss_truncated And the original post by Readmill is here: https://readmill.com/epilogue

Be sure to download all of your data before July 1st, afterwards the app will no longer be available, and possibly your data. Although they mention "for the next 3 months" so this is a bit unclear. Books are available for export in multiple formats.

Sad to see another store close, even though I never heard of it until now.

I never really thought of Readmill as an ebook store.
Doesn't mean it's not sad to see it go, I just mean it doesn't seem fair to lump it in with all the independent book stores (electronic or physical) that are closing their doors. This was a free and open reading app (and community) that I assume was funded by ads in some way.

But yeah ... if that's the only place you have your books stored, definitely get that taken care of before they shut down.
