Touch Freeze on firmware 3.3.0

I have a problem with the reader freezing after updating it to 3.3.0 There is no rule sometimes freezes up after 40 pages sometimes after 2 pages. After 20-40 s is ok but then again freeze. I only use epubs (kepubs exactly) was updated by zip file pasted to .kobo directory in device.

Are those kepubs downloaded from Kobo or ones generated by a Calibre plugin?

That doesn't make sense. The firmware doesn't process any books put into a directory that starts with a dot. It definitely doesn't process books sideloaded to the .kobo directory. Purchased and downloaded kepubs are in the ".kobo/kepub" directory, but the firmware or the desktop application puts them there and updates the database appropriately.

You could get a book in these directories to be seen by the firmware, but you would have to update the database directly. And if you are doing that, it probably means you have not done the updates correctly and the problem is because the database doesn't agree with the actual book.

I think he ment that he did the update by placing the KoboRoot.tgz (zip) file into the .kobo folder.

All kepubs are generate by Calibre. But if i back to FM3.2.0 everything is ok - no freeze.

After detailed tests - freeze with firmware 3.3 have also
a) in chess
b) in the settings menu - without rules where
c) when i use dictionary
d) in web browser

It looks like the memory overflows and does not clear/relase its

I have exactly the same problem and it is a brand new kobo touch that automatically upgraded to 3.3.0 when connected to Kobo Desktop. My ebook collection is also converted via Calibre and all worked fine on the Kobo Vox.
