I haven't seen anything on Kobo's pages but several other websites have said the Aura HD has 1GB of RAM. http://www.techhive.com/article/2034...pe-chart-.html Regards, David |

Yeah, some site say 1gb some say 512. Lets have someone who dual-boot Android in Aura HD then tell us.

Judging from the naming conventions of the u-boot files, it seems to be 512. But for an Aura HD owner it should be easy to find out. By the way, the Kobo Start Menu provides sort of a terminal for that kind of tasks.

Using tshering's terminal, the "free" command shows Total Memory as 512mb (the "top" command functions different than I remembered, at least it didn't work for me.) Luck; Ken |

EDIT: Something that works (apart from free and cat /proc/meminfo) is Code: top -n 1 Last edited by tshering; 06-12-2014 at 10:40 PM. | |

Since the Arua HD uses a memory card, maybe a 16GB card can be put in place instead.

I just tried it. It doesn't make a difference with this wannabe terminal, at least none that is perceptible to the user. Maybe the performance is better, since top does not listen for user input with this switch, but this gain is hardly noticeable with one iteration.

I'd been experimenting via telnet and seen that switch ran in batch mode so thought it might help.
