Custom Colors schemes

Once more a nice add-on. Thank you.

I have often the problem that I make fist a color definition and then want to save this in a custom color set, but not on the first place, what seems to be the default setting. If I choose then an other place, my former definition will be overwritten. Is it maybe possible to change this behavior to not overwriting or to take the next free place?

Unfortunately, that dialog comes from Qt and is not under my control.

Now that we have themes, does this mean more Editor customization is coming soon? i.e. plugins/macros?

There is a bug in the custom scheme editor.

If you set the underline mode from something back to none, the editor throws an exception.
If you close the editor, it can not be opened again.

The problem is caused by the statement

Code:

"underline": ""

in the file tweak_book_gui.json in the style you have changed.

For all other styles without an underline the same statement looks like this:

"underline": null

Changing the statement back into the second one inside the mentioned file by hand, repairs the problem.

Before you attempt to change anything in the file, close calibre and make a backup copy of the file.

@eschwartz: No connection between the two. Macros/plugins are entirely different bits of functionality from custom color schemes.

welcome back from your trip.

I am searching the correct element in Live CSS for the line of CSS rule (file reference). Pls. see attached picture. I can't find it. Is there already an entry in the definition table?

That is hard coded to the "hyperlink color" in Qt, which comes in turn from the OS I believe.

If possible, can you please add this some when?
It's because if I change to a general blue color for "normal" in a scheme, I can't see this information in Live CSS. It is available but you only recognize it if you wipe with the mouse over it.

What I meant to say is, now that you are down to getting theming out of the way, which I would think is a low priority, I was wondering if you were reaching the far end of your TODO list for the editor, and plugins may be next.

Ah, well yes, the editor's TODO list is winding down. The things that are left are:

function mode for search and replace
customization of toolbars
plugins
macros

However, I am currently working mostly on migrating calibre to Qt 5.
