Glo - suddenly very slow
The last few days Glo has been acting very strange. I am running firmware v3.3.0 and have been for some time with no issues.
The last couple of days about 505 of the time when you try to advance the page nothing happens and the suddenly after 5/7 seconds it will jump ahead sometimes as much as 3 pages.
It almost seems like the CPU is overloaded and the suddenly clears and jumps ahead.
Anyone else experience anything like this.

Is this happening with a particular book, or across a variety of books? Main memory or SD card? How full is the device?

Do you have a SD card inside your Kobo?

If you do, try and take out the SD Card to see if your Kobo response faster.

If Kobo works faster without the SD Card, that would mean the file system in the SD Card could be damage and requires repair.

I've seen this with certain books is when there is something wrong with the epub structure: either a faulty TOC; or where the whole book's content is contained in one giant .html file instead of being split up into one file per chapter. If this is the cause then usually an epub->epub conversion in Calibre will fix it, (but make sure you delete the faulty version of the book using the device's "remove" menu option or Calibre's remove book function before sideloading the new fixed vesion.)

This happens to me when there is an image on the next page.
I'll tap or swipe to go to the next page and nothing will happen.
So I tap again. And again.
After a few seconds, I end up three pages ahead.
I go back two pages and there's a big image on the page.

I didn't notice this before the last couple of firmware versions.

I'll try to answer all the questions:

could be the one book- I didn't check into that but will and will report back.
no SD card
fully charged
only sideloaded books so haven't sync'd with KOBO (wireless disabled)
no images in book - it's a novel

Sorry for delay in responding but it appears the problem must have been with the e-book itself.
Finished that book and have starteed another and the problem has disappeared.
