Firmware Update KPW updated with FreeTime/Goodreads/Vocabulary Builder

I restarted my KPW yesterday and it updated itself. New features include the ones in title.
It shouldn't have updated itself since I have disabled OTA by adding "return $ERR_LOW_BAT " to /etc/upstart/ota_update.conf
Anyway, it was updated. So I thought, the jailbreak should have survived the update. So I re-installed the MKK.bin , then I fired up KUAL, then tried to launch koreader but it wouldn't launch.
I checked log file of KUAL, there was "permission denied" error in it.
please help!

Reinstall everything. In order.

All recent firmware updates contain full system images, so all hacks must be reinstalled.

Jailbreaks usually survive, but that is it.

Thanks for the reply.
But I think all I need to run koreader is: the jailbreak itself, MKK, KUAL, koreader itself.
since jailbreak, KUAL, koreader are still there, all I need to do after the update is to install MKK, right?
Anyway, I deleted all extensions, flashed USBNET to see if I can get USBNET to work, but I got the same error.
/tmp/klauncher_background-17146.sh: line 2:
./bin/usbnet.sh: Permission denied

I downloaded the new jailbreak bridge from here and flashed it.
And now it's working perfectly.

Yup. You should update your profile to mention that you own a PW1, that would have helped someone make the connection with the need of an updated jailbreak far more easily
