Calibre/ B&N

Is there anyway to put ebooks that I've purchased at Barnes & Noble into my Calibre library?

In the past I've been able to download the books into adobe digital editions and then pull the digital editions file into calibre. Now however I get this message:

940148202837_epub.v1.epub:
Document is licensed for a different user account

When I spoke with B&N rep, the customer service rep said I can only open B&N ebooks on the computer in a B&N app because of licensing...blah..blah..blah.

I just want all of my books to live in the same place...that is my calibre library. Is this possible?

I appreciate your help.

I had this problem with an ADE epub that I could only read on my desktop computer. I got a plug-in DRM breaker from somebody whose name I think was Alf, with instructions, and with that I was able to open the book in Calibre and convert it to a mobi for sideloading onto my Fire tablet. Probably you can do the same with the Nook (presumably DRM'ed) epub. In your case, saving it merely as a generic epub.

Here it is:

THanks for your response.

I am pretty sure that is the DeDRM plug in I already have (unless there is more than one from this site) It works for my amazon purchased files and for DRM protected files I have purchased from KOBO - -I put them in ADE first, then pull in the digital editions file. However, when I try to add the books purchsed from BN I get the DRM locked can't open message.

There is only one plugin.

Can you read the book in ADE right now? If not, the book may be registered to a different ADE account. Or you may have downloaded the Nook copy instead of the ADE one from Barnes & Noble's website.

No I cannot read the book in ADE.

I don't think it can be registered to another ADE account -- 1. I don't have another ADE account and 2. I've only tried to download one time.

Mabybe I downloaded the wrong copy? I think there is only one download button, but I will check out this possibility.

Thanks for your help
