keeps dropping out

I imported a bunch of books. They had the author and the title mixed up so I have to edit all the metadata. The problem is that the program now tends to drop out on every other book. I am running with xp pro. This seems to be a new problem as I have been doing this for a long time with no problems at all.

Thoughts?

Thank you..........

Check the (XP) event viewer. You may have failing hardware, the log may have a clue.

I run Calibre (1.38)/Sigil every day on XP SP3 (P4 w/2G RAM). A Calibre conversion hits this system fairly hard and a weakness will tend to surface under hard use.

thanks for the advice. I started using the bulk metadata thing. Was able to swap out my title and authors then I did the batch update metadata and covers. That was not real successful. I then updated the metadata and not the covers and that worked well and then I went back and batched for covers that worked as well. There were some that it could not find the metadata on but I messed with those separately (tweaking along the way) and got a lot of them.

Thanks again!!
