Hacks kindle 4 - blacklist

hi folks

I need some help, please

I bought a kindle 4th blocked by the amazon :/, unfortunatelly this device is part of the amazon blacklisted kindles.

How can I unlock it, any jailbreak?

I really appreciate your help

A lot of Kindles sold on places like eBay or Craigslist are blacklisted.

I think My last alternative is to sell it to be disassembled...right?

Or buy a used (non-blacklisted) motherboard for it.

I've never bought anything from them, but they're a well-known company and I seriously doubt they would send you a blacklisted board. But definitely ask first.

EDIT: BTW, this wasn't my idea. I read it somewhere else on this site (and the other person is the one who suggested the parts company). I, unknowingly, bought a blacklisted K3 at a pawn shop. Called Amazon and they told me to return it to the pawn shop. I was hoping they might want to get it back to the owner. So, taking another person's advice here, I made it into a non-connected eReader. (My Dad won't use WiFi anyhow, so it will go to him.)

well, I just checked the website and this company seems pretty honest. Btw, the price for a new motherboard is 50% cheaper compared to a new kindle 4. I sent an email to the repair department, hope they can help me.

Good luck. I'm not quite sure which Kindle 4 (Basic?) you have, but the motherboards for the silver ones are less than $6. (If you've got one of the black ones, it's about $18.) PowerBook Medic appears to separate the Kindles like this ... 1st generation, 2nd generation, 3rd generation (Keyboard), 4th generation (Silver Basic Kindle), and 5th generation (Black Basic Kindle). Then the Touch, Paperwhite and DX Kindles are listed by name.

What's odd is that PowerBook Medic seems to charge more for the motherboards with special offers than those without?

If you bought it in good faith, you should return it and demand a refund because it has been blacklisted. Its either lost, stolen or has been fraudulently reported as lost/stolen.

Do you want to be walking round with a device that may have been stolen during a violent crime? I don't need that sort of trouble

Dude I bought it in a 100% good faith but the seller from ebay disappeared after 4 or 5 months. This device was delivered here in Brazil and unfortunatelly the brazilian customs took almost 6 months to release this item for me !!

So, the american seller from ebay f... me once and the brazilian customs f.. me twice lol..

I checked the blacklist when I called the amazon and gave them my serial number.
