According to an email I received from Amazon today, they now offer over 145,000 books, magazines, newspapers, and blogs for the Amazon Kindle.

Take away the Blogs, magazines, newspapers, "classics", duplicates, and user uploaded eBook, and I bet the number is a lot lower.

Since classics count (you can still buy them in paper), I don't think the numbers are that inflated.

They do have classics but most of the classics are under "literary fiction" which is only 3,753 total.
