Kobo Touch frozen screen and display errors! Help?

Hi there. I woke up this morning to attempt to turn on the Kobo (it was on sleep mode) but it was frozen on the book cover. This had happened before and I'd always solved it somehow by either charging it, or resetting etc. But this time, the info bar at the top had gone slightly gray/hazy. I attempted a reset for a second time when a white sliver popped up on the screen (vertical) that seemed to be doing the pulsing that happens when you turn it on, but then it stayed white, along with a portion of the other screen. Now, whenever I try and turn it on, the small sliver 'pulses' and then does nothing. The rest of the screen is still the book cover but some parts are grey and others are white. about 50% of the screen is still fine. The screen had not cracked and as far as I know it had not been damaged beforehand (I was reading 6 hours beforehand)

Can you show us a good photo of the screen? It sounds like it may be broken, but it's hard to tell from your description.
