original file name column
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() First of all i dont want to change the calibre folder structure. ![]() Ok now that everyone stoped screaming I'll ask my question:How can i make a costom column, for the original file names (from before the books were added to calibre library). if it's not possible for previous ebooks at least for new ones. |

I have a custom column of type=text, called "#origfile", which I use to store the official Amazon filename of my books. (This allows me to download the book with the Amazon book metadata -- pagenumbers and annotations -- then overwrite the book with my calibre copy that has fixed title/authors.)
The only real trick is making sure to always copy over that info (NOT the file extension, though ) whenever you add a new book -- and, the first time, adding in the data for all your current books !

the books were in html format when added. and the html file still has the same name. inside the zip and azw3 ebooks.
