Removing TOC hyperlinks

Hello,

I'm creating an iBooks sample epub for iBookstore. So, how can I use Sigil to remove the hyperlinks from chapters on TOC (<content src>), in order to have a valid epub file, please?

Is there a way to do it?

Nothing automatic, no. You would need to go to Code View and remove the links there. Either manually or with a regex Find & Replace expression.

That's in the ncx file. Surely you're not talking about removing the urls to the chapter files/anchors? Those need to be there for the ncx to work.

Thanks! Yes, I got it, but I'm talking about the html TOC, in which, from any sample downloaded from iBookstore, the hyperlinks in table of contents are grayed out. How can I do the same, please?

For a regular ePUB you don't need a HTML TOC, you can remove it. If you really want it, you can generate a new one in Sigil based on the NCX.

If hyperlinks are "greyed out" in the toc portion of downloaded samples from the iBooks store, I'm sure that's just part of what makes a sample "a sample." I can't imagine you would have to "do" anything (as the ebook creator) to achieve that.

If you just want a non-functional html toc, you'll have to remove the links from the code: manually or with a some sort of regex expression.
