Javascript files not referenced in ebook-editor

(Sorry for my bad english)

The Calibre ebook reader does very well with Javascript. But, when you add some Javascript file to an ebook with the Ebook Editor, these files are not automatically referenced in the content.opf file (unlike other files such as html, jpeg, gif, css, mp3, movies,...).

I can be a great work to reference by hand all these files (I think especially with the MathJax library that allows the display of mathematics in html files). Would it be possible that, in the future, the Ebook Editor references the Javascript files in the content.opf (I think it's not a big deal to add this functionality and it would be very useful).

Thanks for all.

Great thanks to Kovid for all this work; Calibre is a wonderful software.

Why are you adding mathjax to the your book? If you intend it to be read witht he calibre viewer, the calibre viewer comes bundled with its own copy of mathjax, see http://manual.calibre-ebook.com/typesetting_math.html

Since javascript is not part of the ePUB2 standard and the editor only handles ePUB2, I am not surprised. Audio and video are a bit of grey area.
Javascript is only allowed in ePUB3 files.
