Kobo app for Microsoft Surface
Hi! I just purchased a Mircrosoft Surface Pro 2 and installed the Kobo app (for Win 8). All my purchased books from Kobo appear, but I can find no way to import .epubs that I purchased elsewhere, or work docs in .epub format into the new app. On my Kobo app for ipad, i could connect my iPad to my computer and transfer, or email a copy of the .epub to myself, open my email and when I click download, it asks me what app i wanted to open it in, Kobo, iBooks, etc.. I can find no way to do this in Win 8 on the Surface.
Beardude So frustrated! Please help! |

if you go to the app - settings - is there an import books option - that is how it works on android tablets ?
i.e. 2 step 1. put books somewhere on device 2. import books - app scans the device - telss you what it can see - you tick the ones you want imported |

OK - I guess you need to fiind the windows8 equivalent of the triple line icon that android uses for settings.
are you using the newly relaunched app or the old poorly rated one ? http://www.the-digital-reader.com/20...one-app-works/ |

I have it on Windows 8.1, and I can't import anything either (while there is an option to do so in the android version of the app).

I sent a message to Kobo regarding this. I will post if I find anything of use!

At present the Windows 8 application does not support the import (or what we would term "side-loading") of files. This is something that will be addressed in a future update.
