Write only standard metadata using Polish Books or Modify epub
Hi everyone.
Pardon me if this has been asked before. I did a search of the forum, but did not find an answer. When I run Polish books or Modify epub, it writes all of the metadata from the library to the epub's internal content.opf file, including any intermediate fields that I use in my workflow. However, when I use the Convert books tool, it only writes the standard metadata plus Rating. Is there any way to enable the same behavior in Polish books or Modify epub that exists in Convert books? (I understand that devices that can't read the additional metadata won't display it.) Thank you. DJRM |

No, but you can use either the quality check plugin or the editor to remove non-standard metadata from epubs. And note that all metadata is written to epub when you export it from calibre in any case.
