Will a barnes & noble book work on Kobo

Sorry if this is the wrong thread -
I want to buy a book from barnes & noble to use on Kobo but they say to use Nook. Does anyone know if it would download to ADE epub so I could use it on Kobo? This book is much cheaper at B & N than on Kobo.

Although they do sell ePub's B&N uses a different kind of DRM on their books so if the book is DRM'd you'd have to remove that first.

Also, not sure how easy it is for someone in Australia to buy from B&N at this time as they only officially sell in the US and UK right now AFAIK. I've read that might be changing when they launch their new site, but for now you might have to jump through some hoops to buy there.

Oh Ok, thanks for that. I won't bother then. I don't even like the book but as my lovely doctor lent it to me I have to read it, lol. After using Kobo this book is just too heavy to hold- 780 pages - so I'm going to have to buy it for my ereader.

Be sure to check the Kobo discount code thread. If the book is discountable you can save some money using a coupon code...

B&N released a Nook app for Windows 8.1 tablets and PCs in 32 countries several months ago.

Another problem with Nook is that they don't support Macs in all countries - I was unable to get access to a book I bought from their UK store and they had to refund me.

So: buyer beware!

I know, I'm the one who posted about it but I was told that even though the app was available people outside the US & UK couldn't buy books yet. Has that changed?

Thanks for the link to the codes, so far I've tried a few but they're not accepted. Anyway I'll keep trying, it would be great to get a discount.

Unfortunately if any of the active codes (go to the end of the thread and you can see which ones are recent) don't work, then none of them will. Books either accept or not accept discount codes, so as long as you try an active code or two, you don't need to try them all.
