Upgrade KF HD

My KFHD purchased in Jan of 2013 is in the midst of a long upgrade. I can't find any info about it. Does anyone know anything? Thanks

From the Main Menu, down sweep with a finger. Then tap More / Device / About.

It will show your System Version. If an update was available, the Update tag will be highlighted. Mine is not highlighted and shows 7.4.6. My update took place on 8/12/2013.

Mine did the same thing this evening. It now shows my software is version 7.4.8.

It now says 7.4.8. I knew it was an update but I can't find out what it does. Is it all behind the scenes stuff or are there some new features? Amazon does not make this stuff easy to find on their websife.

I found it. It's for the original HD, and it simply says:

Basically, they say it "includes general improvements and bug fixes."

I've tried downloading the update manually from the above page, and my PC says the download will take "Greater than 12 hours." A little too much effort right now for some vague improvements/fixes!

Thank Jessica. It took the kfhd less than 15 minutes so I wouldn't recommend wasting 12 hours. The auto update will come. :-)

My KFHD 2012 just upgraded from 7.4.6 to 7.4.8 after first dropping power from 89% to 9% and then locking up. It required a 60 second hold on the power key to come back. The "Check Now" button had been greyed out. I then left WiFi on while I recharged it and the upgrade was there.

My KFHDX 2013 is still at 13.3.1.0 since 11/18/2013. The "Check Now" button is highlighted but it doesn't show any new updates available. I'll leave WiFi on for 24 hours to see if something happens with that one. The Amazon site still shows that is the latest version.
