Good-day to you all. I am fairly new to e-reading but enjoy it immensely. My Sony reader is always nearby. I am curious as where else I can obtain books for my Reader. At this point I am totally dependent upon Sony Bookstore but I gather, from other posts, that there are other sources.

Sincerely

Welcome.

Yep, plenty of sources for books. Check out the following two Wiki topics...

https://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/Free_eBooks
https://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/E-book_stores

Not all these places have books in a format the Sony supports. So you may also want to look at:

https://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/E-book_conversion

Although to convert stuff into the Sony format, the MacDaddy is libprs500 software. https://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/Libprs500

Enjoy,
BOb

Hi WhitmelS and welcome to the Forum. How long have you had your 505?

I have had my 505 for 7 months now and have enjoyed it very much. Most of my reading on it, however, has been confined to the "100 Classics" they offered when I bought it. I have read a Lee Childs novel tho and hope to expand on my library by working in this forum and finding other places to download.

Which Lee Child novel did you read? I'm reading The Enemy at the moment. I've read just about all of his other Reacher books.

The Enemy is the one I just finished. That completes the Jack Reacher books for me. I am now working through the various ebooks available on this forum. A member very kindly set up Cervantes' "Journey to Parnassus" for me which I am just starting to read.

I do hope, however, that I will be able to find the next Jack Reacher as an ebook when it comes out!

Every other Reacher novel is available as an ebook so I expect the next one will be as well
