I want read PDFs while scupper diving off Great Barrier reef, so I need something that's water-proof and has it's own light and does not attract sharks.

There are no waterproof readers. Look for a waterproof case.

Do you perhaps mean "SCUBA" diving?

There is a waterproof e-reader coming out but its not front lit and it can only go down 1 meter so no good for Scuba diving.

I think the OP is being facetious and like many of their other posts, simply inflammatory and looking for an argument.

Waterproof reader to read while scuba diving near the barrier reef and must not attract sharks. Riiiiiiight. That's a legitimate question.

The OP made me laugh. Especially the attracting the sharks bit. But I came into this thread because I seriously need a waterproof reader too. My hands are pretty rebellious to my brain sometimes that most often than not, I spill my cup. or drop my reader in inconvenient places (not the toilet, I swear).

I already have a case, but I always find it bulky. I seriously thought there would be a waterproof reader. So... I guess I have to wait for news about that.
