Jailbreaking and benefits?
Hey all. Recent purchase one of the T2's and wondering if many actually bother rooting them?

If I was to this would be only with the intention of installing google books and the kindle app.

I hear rumour of reduced battery life? New to this so I'm wondering other benefits/consequences of rooting the device?

i rooted mine and yes there is more battery drain as far as i know. I also took rupors minimal root package (cos the tut was a bit old i had read) although there is a more modern one i think AMR is it, not sure.

there is a battery drain of about 5% per day reading 1 hr.I have dropbox, google market, goodreader with dictionarys, total commander, ebay app and a different inet browser installed.I especially like the repligo pdf reader for rendering pdfs that are usually hardly readable.
