missing elements from validator but they're there howcum?
Hi:
I'm starting a new book. I've done about 100 lines and now I want to save it. With the last book I found that it was wise to run the Flight Crew validator before saving. I do it with this book and it gives me two errors: The <language> element is missing. The <title> element is missing. I've seen lang: attributes but never <language> tags. The <title> tag is populated and valid. How do I correct these errors? Allthunbs |

The elements it's talking about are the metadata in the opf file, not in the html file(s). If you're not familiar with the syntax, just use Sigil's metadata editor to populate those two mandatory items (found under the 'Tools' menu).

Go to Tools/Metadata Editor. Make sure the Title and Language fields are set correctly. Save the file. Try the Validator again.

Excellent. Thank you that worked the charm. I'd forgotten I'd done that in the other book.
