Autoextract rar or present format of contents?

Is it possible to make Calibre auto extract a compressed file on import, so that instead of presenting a book as a .rar format, it can present it as the format of whatever is in it. Or present the formats of the books contained in the compressed file? It's a minor annoyance to either have to extract before adding, or extract on the receiving end, and it'd be nice to be able to remove that step.

Thanks!

If the rar file contains onlya single ebook, it will be auto-extracted. If it contains more than one, you have to pre-extract.

Hmm...ok does it do it when a file is imported? What is the criteria for single ebook, that being the only file in the archive? Are multiple files assumed to be different i.e. 3 of the same thing in 3 different formats assumed to be different?
Thanks!

If you want the details of the algorithm look at metadata/archive.py in the calibre sourcecode, and yes extraction happens at import time.
