Learning 'concepts' vs. 'vocabulary'

Hello virtual neighbors

I have a question basically about how you guys and gals manage your readings. I normally read books in a language which is not among my native languages (including English), so I have two distinct types of important stuff gathered for each book. 1. new interesting concepts, 2. new words (vocabs). Now, previously what I did was to just 'highlight' both these... but after a while, I realized it's not the best practice to do. I know newer Kindles by having a Vocabulary Builder have resolved this issue, but I don't have newer touch Kindles. I was wondering how you take care of your readings...

Also, do you write or store these new words (vocabs) somewhere? flash card, etc? How? just interested pretty much about everyone's study management techniques when using these nice marvelous ebook readers.

And after finishing reading one book, what do you do to the notes/highlights for that book on Kindle?

Enjoy reading my friends

There are free apps that offer even more features than Vocabulary builder:

LWT (Learning with texts; somewhat difficult to install.)
FLTR (Foreign Language Text Reader; Java version of LWT)
ReadLang (similar to LWT, but more polished; freemium website/apps)

Of course not, but you could use them in conjunction with word lists that you generate by note taking etc.

This is not really related to the Kindle, so I'm moving it to the "General Discussions" forum where it will have a wider readership.

Thanks Harry, sounds good. Initially, my intention was to have something on the Kindle itself to do this task, but it's true, this could be well received by the wider community.

So everyone, let me know how you do what you do at your best reading mood.
