Folder setup on device

Hello to the community ... I have been a long time on and off reader to this forum... first time poster (I think)
I understand about not changing the Calibre folder structure on my computer, and I'm fine with that, I like the way Calibre catalogs my books there, but on my ereader I don't use Calibre... ( I can't)
It would be easier to sort through my books there if they were in a folder called "ebooks" ( The e reader also has music and pictures on it, and it came with those folders on it.)
Calibre will only default to sending my books to the root directory of my device and I then move them to the ebooks folder using windows explorer.

Calibre seems to find them just fine after I refresh it.
I would like to be able to have Calibre deliver the books to the ebooks folder on my device saving me the chore of doing that.
I believe there is a way to deliver the books to a specific folder on the e reader by using the "Preferences/ saving books to disk" option, however I can't for the life of me work out how to do that.
I'm not familiar with regular expressions and I believe that is where my problem lies.
I would welcome any assistance in helping me to unravel this issue.
For the record my ereader is a Migear ebook reader.
It is one of the cheaper second generation ebook readers...

I guess by today's standards it's old, but it still suits my needs.
Kind Regards,
Paul

Don't worry, no regular expression needed.

Go to "Preferences/ saving books to disk" (or "Preferences/ sending books to devices", if Calibre recognizes your device; I'm not clear on that from your post).

In the "Save template" line, (something like {author_sort}/{title} - {authors}), prefix that with "ebooks/":

ebooks/{author_sort}/{title} - {authors}

Be sure to use the correct case (eBooks, Ebooks, ebooks...), that could be important for your OS/device.
