Stopping automatic updates on the PW2
Hey there,
I was searching for a way to stop automatic updates on the PW2 device, and found that the same method works that worked for other Touch devices as detailed here. At least it works for now; I have had enabled my WLAN for a few hours now and let the Kindle get into standby mode for a few minutes multiple times and no sign of an update so far. So if someone wants to update the BackDoorLock hack to work with the new PW2, it would probably work with none to minimal modifications. It might already work, but I'm not about to install some update that I'm not sure of if it's 100% compatible and possible mess up my system! I'll keep you updated if anything changes! |
