How to Reset "Books Added" statistic?
I have 2 Aura HDs which are supposed to be duplicates of each other. I read on one while the other is charging. But somehow the Library Tile, which shows "Books Added", shows a different number of books added on each reader. It doesn't help to delete all my books and re-add them. Does anyone know the table name that this pulls from? I am willing to delete all my books from the SD card, then do a DELETE * FROM TABLE_NAME; then re-add all my books, in the hope that this will reset the "Books Added" statistic. Thanks.

Sometimes the stats just don't work right. I have gotten very weird results for books added. Not that I care
![]() Probably the easiest way is to just add books to the one with the lower number and then delete them till the numbers balance. You might want to look at the Kobo utilities plugin if you haven't already, as it has some interesting features. One thing I particularly like is the ability to set certain books to todays date which puts them at the top of the recently read list when they get displaced as well as the sorting of series collections. Thanks, Helen. I like your idea of adding books and then deleting them, so I'll probably do that. Or maybe I'll just do a factory reset and start from the beginning, but that is a real pain for a variety of reasons. I use the Kobo utilities plugin for a lot of things, but it doesn't have anything to take care of this particular problem. Thanks again.

The library tile shows how many books were added the last time books were added to the device. If you are adding books to both devices at the same time, then I would expect them to match. But, if you aren't then these would be different. Personally, I would ignore it. Use the library lists to check that you have the same books. If the page count is the same, then you are fairly close. Looking at how many are on the last page will tell you if they have the same number of books.
In FW 3.1.x, you can also see the number of books using the "Library settings". In the library list, press the menu icon on the right top of the list. The last entry is "Library settings". When you select that, there is a "Book management" section in the middle. That shows the number or books and space taken for a few different categories. The library tile is used in one other annoying situation. If you are using an SD card and restart the device, the library tile will show how many books are on the SD card. This happens even if there were no changes. |

Thanks, davidfor, the Library Settings thing will work just fine. I'd rather know how many books are in the library anyway. I really don't care how many books I've added lately. Good tip, thanks.
