Aura Is my Aura dead already?

This morning, I notice that my kobo was flat dead so I plug it into my computer and it starts charging. Few seconds after, it became totally blank.

I try to boot it up, nothing. I plug it into an AC connector, nothing, still a blank page.

Any ideas? Is it dead already?

Reseting it wake it up, my books are still there. I wonder...

Looks like the battery is failing, I went from 91% to 72% after a 40 minutes reading session :|

You could try leaving it on a charger overnight, there has been some posting suggesting that it takes some use to get the power curve calibrated correctly. This is not unheard of, but of course Kobo seems to pay less attention to such details, than is common practice.

How the hell could I know that the charge was complete since I was seeing a blank page on the Kobo.

Besides, since when do we have to do full charges on hardware like this? I thought that battery reminiscence was a tale from the past...

Hmm... did your Touch come with a charger? How could their statement make any sense what so ever? If what they said were accurate, it would have to be the worse design I ever heard of. The fact is that what they are saying is impossible, given the ICs that control the charging. The initial charge and QC testing is normally part of the manufacturing process, but then this is Kobo. This sounds like they know they had a bad batch of batteries and don't want to deal with it properly.

Kobo customer service has come out with some pretty stupid comments/recommendations but this is near the top of the list! I can say from experience that I virtually always charge overnight (and sometimes longer if I forget to unplug it in the morning) and it's never been an issue.
