Plugboard confusion
Hi. After years of using Calibre I am only now learning how to use the plugboard feature. I am trying to create two plugboards to order series for my PW. One for Mobi and one for AZW3. When I try to use KINDLE2 with Mobi I get a message that KINDLE2 is not compatible with Mobi. It only works if I use KINDLE. AZW3, on the other hand will give the same message with KINDLE but will work with KINDLE2.
I've seen some messages online where KINDLE2 was used for both Mobi and AZW3. Has something changed? Should I be using KINDLE for Mobi and KINDLE2 for AZW3? I am using the latest Calibre. |

That is wrong and should not happen. It does NOT happen for me -- until I disabled the MOBI format for the KINDLE2 Device Interface Plugin, after which I duplicated your problem.
Check the KINDLE2 plugin and make sure MOBI is checked as a supported format. You may have removed this at some point. (The default is it is compatible.) |
