Table Of Contents Shows Only One Chapter
When going to the Go To section on a Kindle (Paperwhite or Fire), all the chapters have merged to one chapter. The HTML file has every chapter separated, but it is not showing up correctly when converting under Calibre. I have tried correcting this manually and using the Edit TOC feature, but nothing works. I do not know if the issue is with the codes I'm using, or if there is a glitch in Calibre. This problem does not occur with every book; some books convert correctly. Please help.

Those are back ref anchors ONLY. There is no forward (href=) at all

This is junk (and not a normal calibre provided HTML TOC)

If what I wrote is junk, could you please tell me what is the proper way to create an HTML TOC? I've looked all over the internet for an alternative solution, and I couldn't find any.

Below is one way to do a HTML TOC (this one has been edited with Sigil)
In this one, the fragments are redundant as I already split by chapters so a TOF landing is default

Calibre conversion can create one if certain keyword are present.

Your above method worked, but with one problem: now I have duplicate chapters showing on the Go To page.

How do I attach the links to the chapters within the book?
