Personal Info on Screen Saver
I think this was discussed/solved earlier, but I can't find it anymore.
![]() I installed the Screen Saver hack for my PW1 and use it to display the cover of the book I'm reading. So far, so good. Additionally I'd like to display my personal info on top of the screen saver, so in case my PW gets lost, the honest finder knows how to get hold of me. I seem to remember this was a function of the screen saver for the K3... Any pointer/tip will be very welcome. Thanks, Hans |

Two ways...use KUAL (all of the screensaver hack options are available as 'buttons' I'm pretty sure personal info is included), or do it manually by placing an empty file named pinfo into the linkss folder. Good luck! Welcome to the forum!

GoSharks is right, with the notable exception that this specific feature isn't available on the K2/3/4 version of the hack, for some technical reason that I can't quite remember right now, sorry ;/.

Hi Goshark and NiLuJe,
thanks for the fast replies. I tried pinfo (copied the file from *autoreboot* and renamed to pinfo) but that didn't work. Could it be that the combination pinfo and cover is incompatible? Hans |

@hvvelsen-
No, they are definitely compatible (works on mine). Have you tried restarting via menu>settings>restart (without USB cable)? You are referring to a PW1 correct?...('cause your post says PW1 but your information says Kindle 3) Last edited by GoSharks; 11-24-2013 at 07:50 PM. |

Ha, missed that. Hence my confusion. Yeah, should work on a PW1, use KUAL to set it up.
