I think I have too many eReaders (devices). What about you?

I seriously started thinking I do have too many devices. Thinking about giving up a few but it's hard :-)

Here is the list, which I'm sure is smaller than others here:

Kindle Touch
Kindle PW1 3G
Kindle PW2 wifi
Nook 7 inches HD
iPad mini 4G 1st gen.
iPad Air wifi

Excluding my iPhone 5' that doesn't count, right ?

Need to reduce (or trying) to only two. An eink reader and a tablet. But it's so hard for me to pick two , lol ...

That's what relatives are for, to inherit your device overflow.

Hahahaha ... well ... mine are outside of USA, expensive to ship. And wife's , well, they are not a big fan of them.

But still, that does not change my 1st question which is, which two I should keep. I basically need a tablet for news, PDF files. An ebook, for long reading sessions of my database and IT related books.

I recommend having at least 3 devices. 1 for backup. Always have a backup! My nook str is starting to occasionally act up [it skips ahead about 25 pages when I press the forward button every once in a while]. So I suspect my kindle touch will be coming into play pretty soon. Blergh...

If it's only two, try listing *what* you read and where.
Then see which two devices fit the material, its sources, and where you read it.

In my case, for example, I think of my active readers in terms of "paperback" and "hardcover". The hacked T1 is my go-to paperback/anywhere reader and the FireHD8.9 is my hardcover/Home reader for magazines, comics, and light online use. Both are set with Kindle/Nook/Coolreader/FBReader.

Yeah, that's why I don't want to give up my Kindle PW1, besides is 3G so becomes useful when I travel to South America, which is usually by Christmas time. I keep that one at work.

I don't. I only have my Kobo Glo. Sold my old Kobo WiFi when I got it. I also have and iPad and an iPhone, but I don't count those since I don't read books with them.

Counting Eink only.

I had 3 and I sold one. I didn't want to sell it, but was to a good friend who was having trouble getting one.

I bought 2 more and I gave one away. I was not using it so was happy to give it away.

No doubt I will keep on this way.

I have 3 now and do use them all, although one less than the others.

If you use them all, you should be allowed to keep them all

. If you have to talk yourself into using one or more, than maybe dispose of those while you can still get a return on them.

(US) Global Priority Mail (flat rate box) would not be that expensive.
There might be Duties for a GIFT at the destination?

I just 2. My main reader is a Kindle Keyboard. I also have a Kindle 2 that various members of my family have used in the past.

I keep two back-ups - charged and ready. It may be excessive, however, after we were hit by Hurricane Juan, power was out for over a week. With climate change, a natural disaster can happen any time - look at Sandy and the US east coast last year. I don't want to be stuck without a lighted reader, to help pass the long evenings.
