Transfer Calibre to Kindle3 titles are strange

Trying fer books from Calibre to Kindle 3 directly through the Calibre transfer to device option, transfers the book but the titles etc home of Kindle are like the following:
(?P<author>[^_]+) - (?P<series ......

If I move the cursor on Kindle to another boo name of the author on the last book becomes visible. Am I doing something wrong?

However, if I copy the book to the documents folder on Kindle by windows file transfer(copy) io on the kindle home page is OK.

I have not changed the device page preferences.

I looked for this question on the forum, but did not find it. If this is a repeat question, please direct me to any existing answer.

That template form is for adding books TO Calibre (Add Books)
{authors} - {title} is the form to use Exporting books. (The Configure device box has field name examples)

I am using
{author_sort} / {title} - {authors} - {series} - {series_index:0>3s}
in preferences for "sending books to device". On the Home on Kindle I get the following:
(?P<author>[^_]+) - (?P<series ......

That string is somewhere it don't belong.
Check that you don't have a Preferences: Plugboard entry with that

I have not put in any plugin. Only those that came with caliber installation are there.

Thank you very much theDucks. I misread the plugboard as plugin. My fault. I did find the strange entry in the plugboard. I removed it and everything is working fine. You have been a great help (I have stopped pulling my hair).
