1.10 update fails and Borks system
This is the first time an update has failed on this system. Wondering if anyone else has the same issue. 32 bit linux/Debian and have installed/updated a dozen times without problems. Calibre will not start now. Gives bus error form command line.

Everything's fine here (2 Linux x86, 1 Windows x64).
Can you copy/paste the error? Have you tried to just re-install (I suppose you have)? There's also the --verbose switch for moreinfo on launch. |

The only change to the linux binary build was an update of zlib to 1.2.8
Presumably, some library on your system is crashing with that version of zlib. Use strace -f or gdb to find out where the crash is happening. Or just delete /opt/calibre/lib/libz.so.1 to have calibre use your system zlib instead. |
