Touch Copying a book from one reader to another

Hi, I have a strange issue, that I have had a look through the forums and could find a solution to, so hopefully someone can help.
Me and my partner both have a Touch.
We purchased 2 books, 1 from Kobo and the other from Waterstones.
The one from Waterstones was ade and after registering we were able to put it on both readers. The book purchased from Kobo, however, is on my partners reader. When I connect her reader to my laptop and open ade, it doesn't show up on her device. Neither does it appear using Windows Explorer. It does show up though on Kobo Desktop.
This means that I can't find a way to copy the book, so that I can put it on my reader.
Does anyone know how this can be resolved?

Did the book purchased from Kobo get downloaded directly to the Touch? If so it is a kepub. That means you need to have the other Touch logged into the same Kobo account. Then it will download.

The alternative is to go to the Kobo site and log into the account. Then go into the library for the account and find the book. There should be a download link for the epub version. You can download that and sideload it to the other Touch,
