Aura HD japanese kanji [help pls]

hi. i need some help with a little thing i'm doing.

i'm currently learning japanese and i was trying to create something similar to flash-card but in the ebook form.
nothing complicated but with enough things that would help to learn kanji.
i've tried to put it in the normal .epub but they don't show so i've used the .kepub.epub form but i've met a problem.
the japanese characters are really small and nothing i do gets them bigger on the aura.

the page structure is something like this for the examples:

kanji - kana reading - english translation

i've used "class" to set distance and possibly different size but without success for the size part.

some idea on how to resolve this? i've got to work on the ccs in a different way or there is some setting i've forgot?

down here i've put the first test of the kepub.

hope to find a way to resolve

Perhaps PDF? Or you might be able to fix the .epub using Sigil. (Sigil seems to display the .epub you provided ok.)

Luck;
Ken

You might want to open the file and then select Ryumin (or another font containing the Japanese characters) as the font. I've seen similar issues when the characters weren't available in the font in use and the Access renderer retrieved the character from another installed font but the displayed characters were tiny.

Good luck!
David

You can also select Ryumin or Gothic via the fonts menu (AA in the bottom menu). I tried your file and I can blow the Japanese characters up to roughly one cm on the Touch.

thx for the reply
i would prefer to not use pdf because i'd have to create a lot of pages with various size due to the stroke order images.

so if i directly select the ryumin from aura i should resolve. worth a try
never thought of it since i am a georgia hardcore fan XD

I find it easier to read with Gothic, but Ryumin is nice too

If you are using Georgia which does not have the Japanese characters and you are using a .kepub.epub book, you'll see the replaced glyphs at a very small size. Better than .epub where you'll see a box of some sort as the replacement character (empty box, box with X, box with ?, etc.).

David
