Touch custom firmware is it possible?

Well folks had my touch(internal storage and sd slot version) just over three days and i do love it...

But when I flash any firmware above 2.52 I loose the ability to read CBR files and Sd card slot is flaky at best(hardly ever sees the card)

so my question is this could we not combine the reader app and drivers from 2.52 with 2.62/2.81???

if so how??? and if we can do this how about adding all the funky hacks too...

In short, it is not possible since kobo switched the architecture from armel to armhf in 2.6.1. If you're not familiar with those, it's like switching from 32-bit software to 64-bit on a PC, more or less. Except that 32-bit software will work on a 64-bit platform and not the other way around, while here the incompatibility is both ways.

I'm not a pro, but it seems not to be without relevance what type of reader you use. There are (at least) two versions of the KT N905, and there is a N905B and N905C.

Mine is the older type, and with fw. 2.6.1 there have been quite a lot of problems.
