Inclusion of Title page

I used to convert from .rtf to EPUB without problems but since I updated Calibre I now find that a Calibre title page in inserted at the beginning. I was a big fan of Calibre but this new development produces converted files which are useless to me because of this title page.

Is there some way to remove it, or prevent it being inserted? If not it looks as if I shall have to try some other conversion program.

Useless how? Does that page break the book, or remove all content after the page? If so that's a pretty big bug and you should report it as such.

The Polish Book action can remove that.

Try to see if there's an checked option somewhere that shouldn't be; maybe in Detect Structure -> Insert metadata.

aleyx has nailed it on the head. Uncheck the setting that causes the metadata to be inserted (called book jackets), see attached. Existing book jackets can be removed via the Polish feature or the Modify epub plugin.

Thanks for the help. I have now found I can remove the Calibre inserted title page in Sigil. The reason it made the conversion with it useless was because I want to put the book on Amazon and other E-book platforms. Hopefully now I can stop it happening again.
