Sorry to get off-topic, but it appears that you can get a "brand new" PRS300 at Rakuten for $47.18 + $6 shipping. Does that seem like a good value to you (or any others with knowledge about Sony devices)?

To me, not really. It's a 5" screen, slow processor, no touch screen, no highlighting, no dictionaries and old version of ADE (I think it doesn't even support justification).

Okay, thanks for the opinion. A smaller device was kind of appealing to me for certain situations, but old hardware + old software probably wouldn't make it worthwhile.

If you do want a 5" Sony that's good, look for the PRS350.

I might pay $20 for one of those, they are cute, but they are not nearly as good as anything more modern. If you want something small, get a Kobo Mini.
