Internal Storage Memory Problems
I have a Galaxy S2 phone and use Aldiko and Kindle as my readers, with library management done using Calibre Companion.

My problem is that my phones internal storage is now overflowing and I badly need to free up space.

Can anyone advise how to transfer all the files and folder structures to the external SD Card in such a way as to maintain compatibility with these apps

Haven't an S2 but on my Galaxy S Advance I can usually just point apps to my external_sd folder (sdcard) that's generally were I keep my music, books, videos etc.

That presumes you use an app that lets you pick your own directories.

I have not found any way to change the Calibre Companion setting to any folder NOT in the internal memory space. I can navigate up the chain to /Storage/sdcard0, but can't get any higher to get to the
/storage/extSdCard/ folder

The Kindle App won't access books in external memory, to the best of my knowledge. If you have any music or videos on your phone, though, you can move those to the SD card and free up memory that way.

Choose manual path and enter / then create. From there you choose mnt and the extsdcard is there.
