LED Lighting not working. HELP!

I accidentally dropped the Glo onto the bed while reading with the LED lighting on and it bounced off and then onto the floor. I picked it up sure that it was toast, and found the screen undamaged, but the light had turned off. Happily, I pushed the lighting button, and found no light. Uh, oh. The lighting symbol turns on and off with the button, but no light. I also tried various lighting levels and still no dice.

Does anyone know how the LED lighting is powered, or more accurately wired? Is it through one of the two Kapton(tm 3M) film flex cables, or some other connection? Is there any weak point or connector I should be looking at if I decide to remove the screws, disconnect the Kapton tm film cables and remove the board to have a better look? I'm hoping a cable just popped out or a soldered connection got loosened from the mechanical shock. Any help greatly appreciated, but I suspect it is not a firmware/reset type of issue since the switch seems to work and the firmware seems to toggle the symbol on and off as the lighting switch is pressed.

Sorry, I'm no help for the re-wiring, but the light stopped working for me about 2 months after getting my first Glo and Kobo replaced it for me.

If you can open your Glo you should see where the two flat ribbon "cable" provide the connections for the display. The little one is for the light, if I remember correctly. It pops out easily there is a plastic lever to secure the ribbon.

Luck;
Ken
