Tartarus Press - A collector's dream - Many available now as ebooks

If you love the work of Arthur Machen, Mark Valentine, and Reggie Oliver (to name a few), then you owe it to yourself to look into Tartarus Press, a publisher of fine works of literary horror fiction.

I bought my first title about 20 years ago, a book by Arthur Machen, and still have it today.

The good news for readers of this website is that Tartarus Press is making available these wonderful collectible editions as ebooks.

Go on over to Amazon and type in Tartarus Press and read through the reviews.

Here's a wonderfully loving tribute by the publisher on how he started as a book collector and how he envisions the future of Tartarus Press.

He seems like a true gentleman.

Lovely video, Dr. I really enjoyed that. They produce beautiful books.
I'm going to put some of these on my wish list at Amazon because now I'm curious about some of these authors.

EDIT: Just saw that there were plenty in our own library. If you were going to give a top 5 of Arthur Machen books, which would they be?

I've always been partial to "The Three Impostors," a book I encountered when I discovered the Ballantine Adult Fantasy Series in the late 1960s. So that would be my number one choice. I recently re-read it and loved it even more.

I'll list these two:

1) The Three Impostors
2) The Hill of Dreams

Thanks for that. I'll download both.
I like the fact that you can go back in time for reading material and still have an adventure.

I think I was the one who assembled the "The Three Impostors." (If not, I'll make a correction in a later post.)

Thanks for that. Your version didn't come up using the search function, but because you mentioned it I went through the alphabetical listing and sure enough - there it is. I think I'll download your version.

That was done in my infancy as an assembler, so I must apologize for all errors on my part.

I may have misspelled the word 'Impostors,' putting 'Imposters' instead.

I'll have to check this. (I'll also attempt to update the book.)

Ah - right you are. I didn't notice the misspelling.
